Welcome to the New Baby Guides

Please bear with us as this is a brand new website which has not been officially launched. It is very much a work in progress and as such, we will be updating pages and information frequently in order to provide the most accessible means of communications and support for pregnant women, new parents and their families.

The New Baby Guides have been developed and launched in partnership with a number of Maternity Units across the UK. It is a free, comprehensive and official guide to provide valuable information to both pregnant women and those who are in the first year of parenthood. 

Each edition of the "New Baby Guide" or "You and Your Baby" (different NHS Maternity Units use different names) is written by midwives in the NHS Maternity Unit we are working with. They write the content, they tell us which images and pictures to use and they have final sign off on the whole project. 

The publications are given out by NHS Midwives at local NHS Maternity Units and are well supported by local communities.
